AUTOMATED WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR SMART CITY USING PLC AND SCADA

Abstract: Sustainability of clean water resource has been a big issue being discuss lately. From the reason of lack of resources to the attitude of end user that frequently waste clean water, the problem seems not having any improvement on finding ways to at least contain it from increasing. The problem is related to poor water allocation and monitoring, inefficient use, wastage and also lack of adequate integrated water management. There are some Reason that this cannot be controllable such as raw resources and the attitude of end user. But there is an area that we can at least control it to the lowest level possible by applying better technology and management. The area that can be improved is the monitoring and management of water storage and distribution. Usually we see water pipe leaks, which results in a fountain of burst water. As a result, there will be a water shortage problem because of the pressure lost, which prevents the water from being supplied to the storage tank. By applying the automation system such as SCADA with the integration of Fuzzy control to control water storage, the management of water distribution and monitoring can be improved thus resulting in reducing the level of water wastage and maintaining the supply of clean water.
RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN CELLULAR MOBILE SYSTEM USING MIMO-OFDMA SCHEMES

Abstract: Energy efficiency is the important factor for today’s wireless communication industry. In this paper, has investigated the energy-efficient resource allocation in LTE-based MIMO-OFDMA systems with users’ QoS guarantees. Our motivation was to improve energy efficiency in cellular mobile system, Satisfy user’s rate requirements of quality of service (QoS). In accordance with use the fundamental principle of green radio and tradeoff between power consumption, latency and reliable for OFDMA based WDC system. In this work, total RF transmission power is used. A RB’s energy performance is compared to that of the remaining RBs available for allocation to that user, and scores are assigned. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm may not only improve energy efficiency significantly reduce delay.

Abstract: This study proposes a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm for solving Power Economic Dispatch (PED) considering units with Prohibited Operating Zones (POZ) and Ramp-rate limit (RRL) constraints. The PSO algorithm was developed through the simulation of a simplified social system and has been formed to be robust in solving continuous nonlinear optimization problems in terms of accuracy of the solution and it can outperform the other algorithms. The proposed PSO algorithm is applied for the PED of three unit and six unit thermal systems. The performance of the proposed PSO algorithm is compared with other methods which are presented in the references. The comparison of results shows that the proposed PSO algorithm is indeed capable of obtaining higher quality solutions.
